The new Radeon 7000 GPUs are built using TSMC’s 5-nanometer process, a leap forward from the 7nm process used in Radeon 6000 GPUs. The 7700 XT and 7800 XT also use a novel design introduced this generation, splitting memory controllers and the second-gen Infinity Cache off into discrete “Memory Cache Dies” built using the 6nm process.
