Talking about the past …
Here are two video lessons about Past Simple, a tense that is used when we want to talk about past events and habits.
Just notice:
- Yesterday in our History lesson, we talked about Byzantine Thessaloniki. (regular verb)
- We did not talk♥ about the ancient times.
- Did you know♥ that Thessaloniki was the second most important city in Byzantium after Constantinople?
- No, I only knew that it was a trade centre. (irregular verbs)

In 18 of August 1917 a big fire started in Thessaloniki.The half of the city destroyed.The fire burnt a huge number of houses almost 9.500.Fortunately,there were not die people except few French soldiers.77.000 people who lived in Thessaloniki were homeless.The fire started when two women tried to boil water at Olympiados street in the center of Thessaloniki.Many years after that Greece continue to have huge problem with fires.
