In 2023, a huge wildfire happened in the Dadia Forest,\u00a0<\/strong>where some of Europe\u2019s rarest animals live, like the griffon vulture<\/strong>. The fire burned many trees and plants, hurting the habitats of many animals.<\/p>\n

Illegal Logging and Deforestation<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Some people cut down trees in forests without permission (=\u03ac\u03b4\u03b5\u03b9\u03b1)<\/span>, which is called illegal (=\u03c0\u03b1\u03c1\u03ac\u03bd\u03bf\u03bc\u03b7, against the law) logging<\/span>. This can hurt the forest by destroying (=\u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03c3\u03c4\u03c1\u03ad\u03c6\u03bf\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c2) habitats for animals and plants.<\/p>\n
