However, most of those people have the English language as a second language and about 360 million people speak English as their first language. Speaking about how many words the English Language has we have to take a quick look at the Oxford English Dictionary, which contains more than\u00a0 <a title=\"How many words are there in the English language? \u2014 Oxford Dictionaries\" href=\"https:\/\/en.oxforddictionaries.com\/explore\/how-many-words-are-there-in-the-english-language\">171,476 words<\/a>. So as our access to technology increases worldwide, there is an increase in a need to know English.On the other hand\u00a0 if you are able to speak English fluently, you will able to communicate with more people and if you travel to different countries, English is often the most common\u00a0 language. Finally many schools and universities around the world require their students have a basic understanding of the English language.If you ask me why I\"m learning English the conclusion is\u00a0\u00a0because it\u00a0 is by far the most commonly studied foreign language in the world, and plays an <b>important<\/b>\u00a0role in\u00a0<b>our life<\/b>. It is understood by many people around the world, since it is the most spoken language.
