{"id":104,"date":"2024-07-06T16:51:04","date_gmt":"2024-07-06T13:51:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.e-me.edu.gr\/hive-alexandracharmp\/?page_id=104"},"modified":"2025-09-11T15:32:20","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T12:32:20","slug":"%ce%bc%ce%ac%ce%b9%ce%bf%cf%82","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.e-me.edu.gr\/hive-alexandracharmp\/%ce%bc%ce%ac%ce%b9%ce%bf%cf%82\/","title":{"rendered":"June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We're heading towards the end of our school year and the last few lessons were dedicated to the country where English is mainly spoken and more specifically to its capital city, London!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">The learning objectives set for our learners are the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 221px;width: 100%;border-collapse: collapse;border-style: double;border-color: #e46de8;background-color: #c0ebe4\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"height: 57px\">\n<td style=\"width: 823px;height: 57px;border-color: #df53f5;border-style: double\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif\">to recognise and name popular sights of London<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 82px\">\n<td style=\"width: 823px;height: 82px;border-style: double;border-color: #c460e6\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif\">to count from 1-12 while listening to the strikes of the Big Ben<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 823px;border-style: double;border-color: #c460e6\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif\">to experience boarding a double-decker bus while singing the song \"The wheels on the bus\" and doing the right moves<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 82px\">\n<td style=\"width: 823px;height: 82px\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif\">to present through an experiential-kinesthetic game the way in which the Tower Bridge functions<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>So, after we located Greece and England on Google Earth, we took a guided tour <a href=\"https:\/\/360.visitlondon.com\/\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We discussed about river Thames, the Big Ben clock, the Buckingham Palace, London Eye, double-decker buses, etc. Then we had the chance to see them again in <span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff00ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sdBwR5-mmgM\">Peppa goes to London<\/a>'<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Getting on the bus was so much fun! We arranged our seats neatly and sang along while doing the right moves!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Wheels On The Bus | Kids Song | Super Simple Songs\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GzrjwOQpAl0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, two children were chosen, tied their hands up in the air pretending to be the Tower Bridge as it lifts when the ships need to cross underneath. The rest of the children created a line walking under the bridge and each time music stopped the bridge went down and ...oppps... caught a child who had to leave the game.
