🌍 Joint Eco Activities at School

As part of the Eco Culture Lab Erasmus+ mobility, several collaborative activities took place at the 1st Protypo Gymnasio Iliou, urging Greek and Romanian students to work together on the environmental issues of the project, bring knowldge gained by the field trips into action.

The first joint activities were organized on Wednesday, February 25, after the educational visit to Antonis Tritsis Metropolitan Park. During this session, students presented information about climate change and the climate crisis, focusing on how these global challenges affect Greece.

The presentations were followed by a discussion in which Romanian students compared the situation with environmental issues in Romania. Using scientific data and information provided by researchers, students examined similarities and differences between the two countries and discussed the wider impact of climate change in Europe.

The final collaborative activities took place on Friday, February 27, the last day of the mobility. During this session, students reflected on what they had learned throughout the week.

They explored examples of how the climate crisis affects both people and the natural environment, listened to expert analyses, and participated in interactive quizzes designed to review their knowledge.

To conclude the activities, students played an eco-themed board game that encouraged them to adopt environmentally friendly daily habits, highlighting how small actions can contribute to the sustainability of our planet.

These collaborative sessions strengthened students’ environmental awareness, critical thinking and intercultural cooperation, helping them understand that protecting the planet requires collective responsibility and international collaboration.
