Erasmus was a Dutch philosopher, theologian, and humanist who believed strongly in the power of education, dialogue, and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his life, Erasmus travelled widely across Europe, studying and teaching in cities such as Paris, Leuven, Basel, Cambridge, and Rome.
