She is of\u00a0<a title=\"Vietnamese people\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vietnamese_people\">Vietnamese<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"Mexicans\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mexicans\">Mexican<\/a>\u00a0descent, and came out as a\u00a0<a title=\"Trans woman\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Trans_woman\">trans woman<\/a>\u00a0when she was a teenager. In several of Dragun's\u00a0<a title=\"YouTube\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/YouTube\">YouTube<\/a>\u00a0videos, she has spoken openly about her transition.<sup id=\"cite_ref-5\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nikita_Dragun#cite_note-5\">[5]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;padding-left: 40px\">Later, Dragun decided to move to Los Angeles, and got accepted to the\u00a0<a title=\"Fashion Institute of Design &amp; Merchandising\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fashion_Institute_of_Design_%26_Merchandising\">Fashion Institute of Design &amp; Merchandising<\/a>, where she obtained her business degree. She said, \u201cI was very\u00a0<a title=\"Hannah Montana\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hannah_Montana\">Hannah Montana<\/a>\u00a0at the time. I would be in class, and we\u2019d talk about influencers and brand deals, and my face would pop up on the screen and they\u2019d start talking about me! They had no idea that I was sitting in the class. She stated, \u201cI started to get little brand deals around that time<i>\u2026<\/i>\u00a0That was also when I decided to start taking Instagram and YouTube seriously.\u201d In 2015, by which time she was living in\u00a0<a title=\"Los Angeles\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Los_Angeles\">Los Angeles<\/a>, she came out as a\u00a0<a title=\"Transgender\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Transgender\">transgender<\/a>\u00a0woman.<sup id=\"cite_ref-elle_4-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nikita_Dragun#cite_note-elle-4\">[4]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0As of May 2021, she has over 3.68 million subscribers on YouTube, 9.1 million followers on Instagram, and 13.6 million followers on TikTok.<sup id=\"cite_ref-buzzfeed_7-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nikita_Dragun#cite_note-buzzfeed-7\">[7]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;padding-left: 40px\">In response to comments by\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"L Brands\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/L_Brands\">L Brands<\/a>\u00a0chief marketing officer\u00a0<a title=\"Edward Razek\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edward_Razek\">Ed Razek<\/a>\u00a0that trans women should not be included in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show because \"the show is a fantasy\", Dragun tweeted a video of herself modeling lingerie.
