These articles are verifiable, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia, but are a bit odd, whimsical, or something one would not expect to find in\u00a0<i><a title=\"Encyclop\u00e6dia Britannica\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Encyclop%C3%A6dia_Britannica\">Encyclop\u00e6dia Britannica<\/a><\/i>. We should take special care to meet the highest standards of an encyclopedia with these articles lest they make Wikipedia appear\u00a0<i><a class=\"extiw\" title=\"wikt:idiosyncratic\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/idiosyncratic\">idiosyncratic<\/a><\/i>. If you wish to add an article to this list, the article in question should preferably meet one or more of these criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The article is something a reasonable person would not expect to find in a standard encyclopedia.<\/li>\n<li>The subject is a highly unusual combination of concepts, such as\u00a0<a title=\"Cosmic latte\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cosmic_latte\">cosmic latte<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Death from laughter\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Death_from_laughter\">death from laughter<\/a>, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The subject is a clear anomaly\u2014something that defies common sense, common expectations or common knowledge, such as\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bir_Tawil\">Bir Tawil<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"M\u00e4rket\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/M%C3%A4rket\">M\u00e4rket<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Phineas Gage\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phineas_Gage\">Phineas Gage<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Snow in Florida\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Snow_in_Florida\">Snow in Florida<\/a>, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The subject is well-documented for unexpected notoriety or an unplanned\u00a0<a title=\"Cult following\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cult_following\">cult following<\/a>\u00a0at extreme levels, such as\u00a0<a title=\"Ampelm\u00e4nnchen\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ampelm%C3%A4nnchen\">Ampelm\u00e4nnchen<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a title=\"All your base are belong to us\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/All_your_base_are_belong_to_us\">All your base are belong to us<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The subject is a notorious\u00a0<a title=\"Hoax\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hoax\">hoax<\/a>, such as the\u00a0<a title=\"Sokal affair\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sokal_affair\">Sokal affair<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a title=\"Mary Toft\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mary_Toft\">Mary Toft<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The subject might be found amusing, though serious.<\/li>\n<li>The subject is distinct amongst other similar ones.<\/li>\n<li>The article is a list or collection of articles or subjects meeting the criteria above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This definition is not precise or absolute; some articles could still be considered unusual even if they do not fit these guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Each entry on this list should be an article on its own (not merely a section in a less unusual article) and of decent quality, and in large meeting\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Wikipedia:Manual of style\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wikipedia:Manual_of_style\">Wikipedia's manual of style<\/a>.
