The painting depicts Icarus drowning, the ships continuing their work and the farmers continuing to plow. The painting wants to tell us that life goes on and that we are human and we can not do everything.
So, what figures can you spot in the painting apart from Icarus and the farmer. You can read in your SB, Unit 4, Lesson 3 the description that starts “According to Brueghel, when Icarus fell…” to be helped.
Miss, the figures aren’t very clear to me and my SB is on the class’ bookcase. What else can I do in order to be helped?

On this painting i can see Icarus Drowning and farmers and ships doing their job.The sea is calm the farmers dont even see Icarus drowning.No one is going to help him

The painting is setting a scence of the Greek mythological figure Icarus, who didn’t succeede in flying. The figures we can spot are a shephed a ploughman and Icarus’s that cau be seen in the water below the ship.

The characters that I can see is Icarus his legs can be seen in the water just below the ship. Also, I can see a shepherd and an fisherman where it is in the front of the picture. Finally, I can see and a man that carries a plow*.
Plow=means άροτρο

I can clearly see a man in the short distance of the painting with a horse going to work in the field. Next, I can spot another man maybe his son at the long distance with a lot of sheeps. I can also see two boats in the sea and many rocks between the boats. And if you look closer to the painting you will see the sun setting next to him there are white mountains with snow. Finally I think this picture is beautiful and amazing it has many colours and it saw us who was life some centuries ago how people lived this time.

In the foreground I see a man carrying a cart with supplies. In addition, I can see a teenager having a pet. Also in the back I see many rocks and ships and in the middle of the image I see a man (Ικαρο) falling into the sea.
I can spot a lot of people who are doing their works like fishing looking after their sheeps and more and not noticing or caring that Icarus drowning in the sea .
I can spot a farmer was working in his field. I can spot a shepherd was looking after his sheep. Ater that I can spot a fisherman was catching fish near the edge of the sea.And the most important thing I can spot it is Icarus who was drowning.

In this picture, I can see a shepherd looking after his sheep, a farmer working in his field, ships continuing their itinerary, and a man fishing. But I most importantly see Icarus drowning, though no one seems to really care about it.
I can see Ikarus drowning in the sea and all the other people not even looking at him.there is a man that is looking his horse,a man that is fishing and a ship but no one is helping Ikarus.
So, Icarus is drowning while the world is doing business as usual 🙄
The painting is setting a scene of a Greek mythological ,called Icarus which his father made him some wings with beeswax. Then as he was flying it became sunny so the beeswax started to melt. In the picture we can see that Icarus is drowning and none of the other people can see him . Also we can see that a ship is near him and dont does anything like the man who is fishing.

In this darwing I can see Icarus drowing and nobody help him. I can see am man with a cart, a fishman, some ships and a lot of animals. I think that they are sheeps.

I am seeing a fisherman that he was fishing, a plaughman that he was plowing, some people in a ship that they are preapearing the ship and an other dead man i can see.The picture i think that it want to tell us that all the people are thinking the good for them selfs and only them selfs.
The painting shows the drowing of the greek mythical figure of Icarus who tried to fly by wings made of wax . In the backround of the drawing we can see his legs as he is falling in the sea, while vessels are going to the destinations. At the same time an angler continues fishing, a farmer and a sheperd are doing their job, without noticing anything.
This painting shows the death of Icarus as the name says, but one thing I’ve noticed is that no one seems to mind his death because like the rest of the people in this drawing he was nothing else but a simple person in society, he was just a drop of water in the ocean, to sort it out no one cared about him they all minded their own business and didn’t even look at his way while he was drowning, the carelessness of the people can be seen even if they’re faces can’t be seen.
