What if the Bennet family hadn’t gone to the Meryton Ball? Chryssa, Dora
In Pride and Prejudice, the Bennet family goes to the Meryton Ball, where the girls meet the eligible bachelors who are Mr. Darcy Fitzwilliam and Charles Bingley. Had they not gone to the Ball, Jane Bennet would not have met her future husband, neither would have Elizabeth. The girls wouldn't have ignited that initial spark between them and the aristocrats, making it more difficult to get to know one another. Mr. Bigley wouldn't have been awestruck by Jane's beauty, which made it impossible for him to be with another woman. Mr. Darcy, on the other hand wouldn't have been left such a strong impression by Elizabeth, therefore their love would have never bloomed like it later did.

what if Jane Bennet was in love with Darcy and not with BIngley and tried to take advantage of his friendship with Darcy ?
if Bigley had written a letter to Jane telling her that he was going abroad for a week ,Jane would have taken the chance to meet Darcy at his house . However if Bingley had forgotten his suitcase he would have found Jane kissing Darcy , who would have not resisted. And if Elisabeth had gone there tomeet Darcy , who had forgotten it, she would have found them kissing , like Bingley would . Then Bingley and Elisabeth would have gone mad and have killed them right at the spot . if all of that had happened Bingley and Elisabeth would have run away and they would have fallen in love , gotten married and had 2 kids named after Darcy and Jane.

“What if” in Pride and Prejudice: An Alternative Plot Twist (Petsas,Bakogiannis,Sarisavvas,Kavlakonis)
What if Elizabeth Bennet never met Mr. Darcy? First and foremost, her family would have lost their house, as there wouldn't be any successor to their property. Moreover, if Mr. Bingley never showed up, Jane wouldn't have met him, so their house would have been inherited by Mr. Collins. Eventually, Mr. Bennet, who is, in the story, the leader of the family, would die from old age. We realise that Mr. Bingley’s and Mr. Darcy’s arrival at Netherfield Park is of vital importance for the Bennet Family’s survival, as these two men become the successors of their property.

“What if” in Pride and Prejudice: An Alternative Plot Twist
Today's activity is your chance to play with the plot of Pride and Prejudice and the characters’ choices! Form groups of four. We'll be looking at how the characters' relationships and the book's themes would change if a key moment in the story had been different.
Your mission is to write a 120-word alternate reality—a short story that flips a turning point on its head. For example, what if Mr. Wickham had been honest? What if Elizabeth had said 'yes' to Mr. Collins? What if... Mr. Darcy had fallen for someone else from the beginning? What if... the Bennet family were not in danger of losing their home? You can pick one of the suggested ideas or come up with one story twist of your own. Then, please share your team's new version of the story on our e-me blog.
