IRAKLIO

Iraklio  is in a big island, which is called Crete.It is in south Aigaio.This city is the fourth bigger city in Greece and the biggest city in the island.The population is about 173.990 people.Iraklio is near the sea.In addition there is an airport , which is called Nikos Kazatzakis.This airport is one of the most crowded airports in Greece.

Iraklio is close to Africa , so , in the summer the weather is hot and in the winter the weather is warmer than the other places in Greece.

The city is very old , about 27 millenniums , and it is noisy.It has got a beautiful , old fort, which is called the Rocca al Mare in front of its port.There are many block of flats , shops , bid streets and squares.There are hotels and great beaches.The view of the sea is fantastic.Many tourists  come to this city for their holidays.I would like to visit Iraklio, soon.

Rome-my favourite town

The Location: This town is situated in the center-west of Italy. It is the capital city of Italy called Rome where 2.874.605 people live. The town is built next to the rivers Tiber and Aniene.  The historic centre of Rome was builit on seven hills.

The Sorroundings: Rome has a Mediterranean climate. Hot and dry summer and cool-humid winter. The city center is 24 kilometres away from the Tyrrhenian sea.

The town Old and New: The town is found at around 753 BC. You can visit museums such as Vatican museums and the Colosseum, churches, palaces, historical buildings, fashion shops, galleries, theatres, parks and historical buildings. There are old fashioned houses and modern too. Rome has three airoports, trains, busses, metro and the city has traffic problems.

MY FAFOURITE SMALL TOWN VYTINA

THIS SMALL TOWN IS ACTUALLY A VILLAGE AND IS SITUATED IN THE SOUTH-EAST OF GREECE,IN PELOPONISSOS.VYTINA IS SURROUNDED BY MOUNTAINS.THE MOST FAMOUS IS MAINALON MOUNTAIN.THAT IS WHY THE WEATHER IS COLD AND WET DURING THE WINTER.THERE ARE MANY ARCHEOLOGICAL SIGHTS NEAR AND AROUND THIS VILLAGE.ALSO THERE IS A SKI CENTER.ALSO THERE IS A HUGE CAVE THAT YOU CAN VISIT,CALLED KAPSIA CAVE.THERE IS A WATER MUSEUM NEAR BY.IN THE CENTER OF VYTINA THERE IS A BIG CHURGH AND A FOLKLORE MUSEUM WITH A HUGE SQUARE.THERE ARE MANY SOUVENIR SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS AND CAFFES.IT IS A QUIET AND PEACEFUL PLACE.

A town in Greece-Sparth

The Location: This town situated in  the west of Greece. It is a busy town where 16.239 people live. the town is built next to a river called Eurotas. In the middle of the lake there are small stones to cross the river.

The Surroundings: Around the town there are small and big trees and little flowers. In winter it is cold, but summers are very hot!!!  There is a lot of snow and everything is covered.

The Town Old and New: It is a beautiful town with big old castle. The view from its tor is wonderful!!!! There are many old houses and blocks of flats and life there is quiet. Also, there are so many shops, restaurants, bookshoobs, churches and squares! It's a beautiful city in my opinion and every time i go i feel perfect!!!!!!!

My favourite town Kalavrita

My favourite town is Kalavrita . It is 24 km south of Aigio and 64 km southeast of Patras.This town has got a famous holocaust museum, the best ski center and a lot of shops and monasteries. You must visit the cave of lakes where mysterious and impressive stalactites are hanging above your heads. Also you can go a journey  with the most famous train in Europe Odontotos rack railwway from Kalavrita to Diakofto next to Vouraikos river. Finally Monastery of Mega Spileo is the oldest in Greece and it took its name from the cave where the icon of Virgin Mary was found.

the Athens is the capital of Greece!Τhe capital of Greece is well known for its beaches and sights you can visit.....most tourists who visit Greece go to Monastiraki and admire the Acropolis!!! There are also many traditional kinds of food that you can taste and eat...οne of these is the famous souvlaki. On the Acropolis rock, there is a beautiful monument, the Parthenon.The Parthenon was founded  in 447 BC and the architects who built it are the Kallikratis and Iktinos.Αbout  3 million people live in Athens.Greece is a mountainous  country. and for this is it has many mountains. Some of mountains of Athens is are Parnitha, Penteli and Ymitos! Finally it is a very beautifull city!!
