Understanding Climate Change & Crisis
Below you can see the exact lesson prepared for the entire Erasmus team, on Wednesday the 25th of February

🌍 Welcome to the Erasmus programme in Greece
To a dynamic learning journey where we connect culture, environment, and responsible action. Through so far field exploration and through joint activities we plan to:
✨ Understand environmental sustainability and climate change
🏛 Discover how cultural heritage sites are protected from environmental threats
🌱 Explore renewable energy, green architecture, and sustainable development
🥗 Reflect on healthy lifestyles, organic farming, and ecological habits
🌎 Exchange ideas and perspectives with peers from different countries
Our goal is to observe, to discuss, to collaborate, and to think critically. Why? Because in this way we will become:
✔ Responsible global citizens
✔ Environmentally conscious decision-makers, and
✔ Active protectors of both cultural heritage and the planet!
So, let the joint activities begin!
🌍 What's wrong with our world?
So, why deal with the environment? Well, let's observe some photos together

What do you see in the picture? Which stage are we closer to now?

What do you see in the picture? Do you believe this is a science fiction scenario, now?

What do you see in the picture? Do you believe human activities have affected the environment?

What do you see in the picture? Is that a possible bad scenario for humanity?

What do you see in the picture? Is there anything wrong with the choices we make?
Now, match major environmental issues to their terms/ names! Click here.

So, what's wrong with our planet? Let's find our bu understanding what climate change is!
🌍 I need some real scientific data

Watch the Global Warming dashboard, here. What does it show?
Watch the National Greenhouse Gas Emissions, here for both Greece and Romania. What do they show? How close are the two countries?
B. Dr. Kostas Lagouvardos, Research Director of the National Observatory of Athens/ Institute for Environmental Research
Watch - Listen to his presentation here
So, has all of this change affected our countries? Let us observe Greece
