Welcome Day in Greece

Welcome to Greece – First Day of the Eco Culture Lab Mobility

Our Erasmus+ mobility of the Eco Culture Lab project began with great excitement as we welcomed our partners from Scoala Gimnaziala “Constantin Parfene” in Romania to Greece. We welcomed four teachers: Dorina Nemtanou, Daniela Crizantema Nane, Alina Lupu and Irina Mihaela Matcasu and eight students: Natalia Maria, Sara Maria, Daria Maria, Sara, Luca, Cristian, Pavel and Teodor!

Before the mobility week, students from both schools had already met online in order to get to know each other and feel more comfortable before the visit. During these virtual meetings, they introduced themselves, shared their interests and talked about their expectations for the Erasmus+ project.

To help our students connect even more, Romanian teachers created a Padlet wall where each student posted a short presentation about themselves. Through this activity, students were able to learn about each other and form student pairs and thus decide who they would stay with during the mobility week, which also helped them collaborate more easily during the mobility week. The visiting students stayed with Greek host families, which gave them the opportunity to experience everyday life in Greece, learn about local culture and build strong friendships. To make the welcome even more special, Greek students had prepared small gifts and souvenirs to welcome their Romanian friends. This thoughtful gesture created a friendly and joyful atmosphere from the very first moment of the mobility.

When the Romanian students arrived at Athens International Airport, they received a warm welcome from their Greek partners and teachers. The Greek students were very excited to finally meet their Erasmus partners in person.
