🌍 Climate Change Awareness Day
Day 4- Climate Change & its effects
Thursday, February 26, 2026
Thematic Topic: Climate change, environmental crisis and possible solutions
The fourth day of the Eco Culture Lab Erasmus+ mobility was dedicated to understanding the causes, impacts and possible solutions to climate change.
Students visited the Goulandris Natural History Museum, where they participated in the interactive educational programme:
“Climate Change & Us”

🌿 Goal: Understand Climate Change
During the programme, students learned that climate change refers to long-term changes in the average weather conditions of a region over time.
They explored how these changes are mainly caused by the intensification of the greenhouse effect, due to: burning of fossil fuels, deforestation and human activities affecting the environment.
🧪 Interactive Programme: “Climate Change & Us”
The approach of the programme was experiential and interactive. At first, they watched a 360° interactive exhibition, where they had the opportunity to observe how daily human activities affect the climate.

Extra videos from the exhibition here.
Then, students explored 17 interactive stations in the interactive gallery, each focusing on key aspects of climate change:
⚡ energy use
🚗 transportation
🌾 food production
💧 water consumption
♻ waste and recycling
🔬 scientific research
🌍 environmental and social impacts
👤 personal responsibility and global action
Students, interacted with digital exhibits and simulations and reflected on how individual choices can make a difference.

Watch some videos from the exhibition, as experienced by students:

🌍 From Awareness to Action
Through this visit, students realized that climate change is not only a scientific issue but also a social and global challenge.
They discussed how both individuals and societies can take action by:
🌱 adopting sustainable habits
♻ reducing waste and consumption
💡 making environmentally responsible choices
