A few words about me ….

I am a gratuate of English Language and Literature department (School of Philosophy, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens). I am also a BA degree holder of European Civilization (School of Humanities, Hellenic Open University) and my studies included European History, Philosophy, Arts and Human Geography.

My Master's degree is in Education (School of Humanities, Hellenic Open University). This M.Ed is of interdisciplinary nature, related to Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Didactics, Linguistics and Educational Research Methodology.  Hence, I developed an interest in researching social skills improvement through Arts applications. My Master Thesis is on “Exploring views of kindergarten teachers regarding visual art contribution to preschool children’s emotional development. A qualitative approach” which gave me the background and feedback to study the relation between social-emotional needs and expressiveness through visual communicative code. Now I am particularly interested in exploring integrated foreign language skills through Arts incorporation in TEFL.

IEPE Teacher training for the introduction of English in Preschool Education (ΕΑΝ) by AUTH (Aristotle Univeristy of Thessaloniki) and EYL English for Young Learners (ΠΕΑΠ) by UOA are two programmes for kindergarten and early school years correspondingly on which I have been trained and certified.

Teaching foreign languages to dyslexic students and Educational practices and Students' consulting are another two areas I have explored and been trained on by the e-learning centre of UOA.

I am computer certified by ELKEP and ACTA and an MCE (Microsoft Certified Educator).

I have been teaching English in both private and public sector for 26 years.
