Talking about the past … E2

Here are two video lessons about Past Simple, a tense that is used when we want to talk about past events and habits.

Just notice:

  • Yesterday in our History lesson, we talked about Byzantine Thessaloniki. (regular verb)
  • We did not talk about the ancient times.
  • Did you know that Thessaloniki was the second most important city in Byzantium after Constantinople?
  • No, I only knew that it was a trade centre. (irregular verbs)
