Τzeni Karezi
Evgenia Karpouzi known as Tzeni Karezi was a famous Greek film and stage actress.She was born in Athens on 12 January 1932 and died from cancer on 27 July 1992. Her father was a mathematician and her mother was a high school teacher.
She studied acting in the Drama School of the Greek National Theatre.I n 1954, she started to work as a stage actress close to popular personalities like Alexis Minotis, Katina Paxinou and Melina Merkouri.In 1955, she acted in her first film called "Laterna, Ftoheia & Filotimo".In 1967, she met the actor Konstantinos Kazakos and married him.They had a child.
Tzeni Karezi made a fabulous career!!!She starred in many popular films such as "Manto Mavrogenous","Tzeni...Tzeni","Mia trelli,trelli oikogeneia","I Hionati & ta 7 gerontopalikara","Despoinis Diefthyntis" and "Ta Kokkina Fanaria".Also,she appeared on stage in great plays like "Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf?","Medea" and "Electra".
