Getting familiar with our cultures

🤝 Day 3 – Joint Eco Activities & Intercultural Exchange

Welcome Session at 1st Protypo Gymnasio Iliou

After the morning environmental activities at Antonis Tritsis Metropolitan Park, the Erasmus+ students gathered at the ICT Lab of the 1st Protypo Gymnasio Iliou for a series of collaborative and intercultural activities.

This session focused on getting to know each other better, sharing cultural experiences and introducing the themes of the Eco Culture Lab project.

💻 Using the Greek Educational Platform e-me

All the material for the school activities had been uploaded to e-me, the official Greek digital educational platform used in schools.

For the Erasmus+ mobility, a special Eco Culture Lab digital space had been created where students could access:

  • presentations
  • digital posters
  • videos
  • educational resources related to the project

On Wednesday, February 25, a welcoming post was published on the platform so that Greek students could officially greet their Romanian partners and introduce the activities of the day.

🌍 Welcome Session – “Welcome to My Country”

The session began with a welcome activity prepared by the Greek students.

Using digital posters they had created during their English lessons, the students introduced their Romanian partners to different aspects of Greek culture.

Their presentations included:

🇬🇷 where Greece is located in Europe
👋 common Greek greetings and expressions
🍲 traditional Greek cuisine
🎉 cultural traditions and celebrations
🎭 how young people in Greece spend their free time

The activity helped Romanian students gain a better understanding of Greek everyday life and culture.

You can see the whole poster, here. The poster was created on school year 2024- 2025 by Theofilos, student of B3 class.

🎬 Discovering Athens and Our School

During the session, students also watched two short video presentations prepared by the Greek team.
