R.I.P Queen Elizabeth II
''I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.'' A promise made and kept, by Her Majesty The Queen on her 21st birthday.
September 8th is a sad day for the Commonwealth and the world as it marks the loss of an iconic leader who personified the concepts of duty and service. Sincere condolences to the citizens of the UK.
Do you know when Queen Elizabeth II was born and how many years she reigned?

Hot Cross Buns
What are hot cross buns and what do they have to do with Easter?

Hot cross buns are spiced, sweet buns made with fruit and marked (either etched into the dough or piped with icing) with a cross on the top. Think of them as a sort of blend between a dinner roll and a sweet pastry.
Most recipes call for raisins and cinnamon, but there are tons of variations out there.
Traditionally, hot cross buns are associated with Easter—a Christian holiday and festival celebrating the resurrection of Jesus—and eaten on Good Friday, or the Friday before Easter.

Happy Saint George’s Day 2021
Hello everyone, today is Saint George's day in the UK. Saint George is the patron saint of England.
As we have learned, the flag of England is white with a red cross, (although many people mistakenly think that the flag of England is the Union Jack). This cross is called The Cross of Saint George. Click on the links to see last year's post and learn more!
