DAY 4 – Cultural & Digital Learning Activity: Educational Visit to Athens and the Acropolis
During the mobility, students will participate in a full-day educational visit to Athens, including the Acropolis and selected cultural sites. This activity aims to combine cultural heritage with the development of digital and transversal skills. At the Acropolis, students will use mobile applications and digital tools available on Google Play that allow them to explore how the monument looked in ancient times through augmented reality and 3D visualizations. By interacting with these applications, students will enhance their digital literacy, critical thinking, and historical understanding while connecting past and present through technology.
In addition, students will take part in a digital quiz or a small-scale treasure hunt using mobile devices, encouraging collaboration, problem-solving, and active learning in an authentic cultural environment. The visit will also include a visit at a Museum of Informatics, where students will explore the evolution of technology and computing, linking historical innovation with modern digital skills. Overall, this activity promotes cultural awareness, digital competence, and experiential learning, in line with the objectives of Erasmus+ and the development of 21st-century skills.
