Giorgos Papadopoulos
I decided to write a parody of the song “Every Breath you take” by the Police, with lyrics associated with life in school. I highly recommend reading the lyrics accompanied by the actual song, so it is better to keep up with the pace and rhythm. Following this song, there is a parody of the first two verses of Queen’s “I want to break free” and a small Shakespeare inspired poem.
Everything you do Every Breath you take
At the break in school
Whatever you are eating
Whatever you are saying
Teacher’s watching you
Better be thankful when you caaan
Like this time at the class
When the teacher left,
All of us were blessed
Like it’s Fridayyy
Oh did you really think
Math was off today
How much it hurts
When they walk in class
Ooh ooh
When the lesson starts
Each and every thing,
What you gossip during class
Every time you blink
And every letter you transmit
Teacher’s watching you
Since the start I’ve been lost, so what’s the page?
Oh no! Teacher’s here and looks full of rage
And of course, it is me he interrogates
What to do, someone help! Can’t rely on classmates.
I keep mumbling, and mumbling oh it’s vain
Oh did you really think
Math was off today
How much it hurts
When they walk in class
Ooh ooh
When the lesson starts
Everything you do
At the break in school
Every time you blink
Every letter you transmit
Teacher’s watching you
Whatever you are eating
Whatever you are saying
Teacher’s watching you
And the outro replacing “I’ll be watching you” with “Teacher’s watching you”
I want to get some sleep I want to break free
Oh I want to go sleep
This class is so boring
Oh you can’t believe
How dull this is
God knows
God knows how I survived
Through that week
But the weekend has come
School is now over
and summer is closer by a week
No homework for me
Oh yeah
Oh yeah I love it when I get to sleep
Thou shall go to school Shakespeare Inspired
To learn new things, you should,
And every time you get confused,
Ask the teacher what to do.
But don’t get misunderstood,
Cause everyone will laugh at you.
